Not long ago, I joined one of our wealth advisors in a meeting with a long-time client. We’ll call her Esther. She had recently lost her husband and was in the midst of the difficult process of transitioning all of their accounts into her name.
As we sat together, walking through the paperwork and explaining what needed to happen next, she paused and said with tears in her eyes,
